Your trip to the sunny riviera at the foot of Mount Rigi starts in Lucerne. The tranquil cruise on Switzerland's most famous Alpine lake will take you to the lovely town of Weggis, which Mark Twain described as «the most charming place…» after he visited it in the late 19th century. Indeed you can follow in the footsteps of the famed American author and walk along the pretty trail from Weggis to Hertenstein. It is flat and well maintained, making it a leisurely and easy stroll.
