Here is a helpful overview that shows you the physical distance between the train station, bus halt and boat pier at the most important towns and calling points around Lake Lucerne. This data can give you a good idea of how much time you need to allow for transfers from one mode of transport to another.
All of our boats operate according to the highly integrated Swiss national timetable, with attractively timed connections between different modes of transport throughout the day. For many designated rail or bus connections, our boats must therefore wait for a certain number of minutes, in case the train or bus is running late. If your train is late and you intend to make a tight transfer onto a boat, please contact the conductor on the train, so that they can call ahead and alert us. As long as the delay is not too severe, this can still help facilitate a smooth connection.
There is a car park directly at the railway station. From there it is only a few meters on foot to the departure piers of the boats. Further information on parking in Lucerne can be found here.
