Solar fuel pioneer
Tradition and innovation at the highest level
As the very first vessel worldwide, the steamboat Gallia will use solar fuel developed by the company Synhelion. This fuel is compatible with the over 100-year-old steam engine. This milestone achievement makes the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company (SGV AG) the first shipping company to use this new kind of fuel and, as a pioneer, take an important step towards sustainable shipping.

The ship can accommodate 900 guests, yet during the Legends tour there are a maximum of 65 on board. This makes it possible to savour the ambiance and fine food to the fullest. Pure nostalgia aboard the steamboat. So lovingly maintained and operated. Nothing was lacking. The onboard entertainment gave us new insights into the Gallia, and the fascinating stories were highly informative. The crew, including the captain, was always available for questions – no nautical query remained unanswered. The most exclusive aspect of Legends of Lake Lucerne is that with fewer than 70 people, it feels like having the entire steamboat all to yourself.

- Cancellation up to 48 hours before (9 AM – 2 days prior): Free of charge. Afterwards: No refund. With medical certificate / flight proof: CHF 10.00 cancellation fee. Rebooking: Free of charge.
- If there are fewer than 15 registrations 48 hours before departure, the excursion will be cancelled, and a full refund will be issued.
